To Jeff's family I offer my condolences! Jeff was a distant friend, first introduced to me by Bill Miller in the 90s. Both stayed at our house in Denver at some point during their peak speed skiing years so the story telling was amazing to listen to BUT mostly the way Jeff lit up a room remains clear as day. Later we reconnected when my youngest was racing and we came to Squaw Valley for age class races 8 years ago. Again he lit up a room with his kindness, love for life and mostly for his family as he worshipped his family. Now, not unlike my father(a career fight pilot from the Vietnam era) we are sad for Jeff yet we should celebrate him as he, like my father, was blessed to live the life of two men and was fortunate to do what most couldn't fathom.
